Reality check: this is an amortization estimate, not a lender statement. Floating-rate changes, payment-credit dates, lender rules and rounding can move the result. Confirm every part-payment is applied to principal.

Simple mathematics, serious impact

Three levers. One earlier finish line.

ClearHomeLoan models your repayment month by month—not with a rough shortcut—so interest is recalculated after every extra rupee paid toward principal.

01

Add a monthly prepayment

Even a modest recurring amount attacks principal early, reducing every future month’s interest.

02

Step it up each year

Direct part of every salary increase toward the loan without committing today’s entire budget.

03

Use bonuses strategically

Model one annual lump sum in any month and see the exact time and interest it removes.

Questions, answered

Understand the numbers.

Should I reduce EMI or loan tenure?

Reducing tenure is usually safer because it preserves the higher contractual EMI. If you reduce EMI but redirect every rupee saved into prepayment on the same date, the mathematical result is identical.

Does part-payment go entirely to principal?

After accrued interest and any dues are settled, an accepted part-payment reduces principal. Confirm the transaction is posted as principal prepayment in your lender’s statement.

Why may my lender’s result differ?

Floating-rate revisions, daily versus monthly interest calculation, payment posting dates, lender rounding and prepayment rules can create differences.

Is my financial information stored?

No. This version calculates entirely on your device and does not send or save your loan figures.
